Our annual Point to Point meeting is scheduled for 7 PM, January 24 at the Orlean Fire House. Ad forms, committee assignments and discussion of duties will be on the agenda. The ODH Point to Point will be held on Saturday, April 7. Pair races scheduled for Sunday the 8th.

KLM Images has just published a photo essay for the Boxing Day meet of the Old Dominion Hounds at the Kennels in Orlean, VA on 12/26/2011. There were many foxes viewed and the hunt went on for hours, culminating in a lovely hunt breakfast in stages as waves of folks came in while the hardier souls persisted. Among other goodies, Clare served jossop (I had to look it up), a lovely stew of chicken and other savory items.
I had to break off after a long view of a (distant, back-lit) fox running just behind the kennels, with the pack hot on his trail.
