Subscriber Teams

The purpose of the teams is to share tailgate responsibilities as well as trail clearing and other jobs that help support ODH.

Team Captains…please be aware that not everyone (IE Sherri Hamill-Huff) has email so you’ll need to be in contact with them for their phone numbers, etc.

Also, some teams need more members so as we get more subscriptions in, etc., we will add them to those teams.

Any volunteers for the following Saturdays:

September 22

September 29

October 6

October 13

October 20 (that’s Gold Cup Day so perhaps we should skip a tailgate that day?)

October 27(Opening Day…breakfast at our President’s home.)

After Opening Day, the fixture card will contain information on which team is assigned a given Saturday, in alphabetical order.  If your team cannot do the Saturday it’s assigned, then it is up to you as the team captains to talk to the other team captains and swap assignments.

Virginia Hunt Week at ODH – Tuesday 10/18

The Masters have asked me to help them organize a tailgate breakfast for Tuesday, October 18, at Poe’s Run (Julia Thieriot’s place).  ODH will be hosting the riders in the Virginia Hunt Week that day. The Masters will provide the drinks and burgers and hot dogs, etc.   So, we need side dishes (salads, etc.) and desserts.   If you are planning to hunt that day and/or can bring one of these items, please call or email me so that we can organize this accordingly.  We also need a volunteer to cook the burgers and dogs.  We are expecting 20 or more guests plus our normal week day crowd…in other words 40-50 hunters.

Weekend Hunt Breakfasts

The new hunting season is upon us, let’s begin in style…

Bring your favorite dish(es) to share to the first two meets, Saturday and Monday, for some after-hunt socializing and fun.  You bring the food and we’ll bring the drinks.  That will give us time to get the teams organized for future hunts.

Thanks…and don’t forget the ODH tailgate at the Warrenton Horse Show.

There is a work party scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 21.  We will meet at the Hunter Trial Field at 9 AM.

Bring weed whackers if convenient.  Don’t forget safety goggles.
